The
Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (PBGV)
Our
love for the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (PBGV) did
start at the time the male PBGV by the name
of “Marquis” came
to live with us in 1990. His pedigree name “Queldring’s
Grand Cru Guy”; old type within the breed at that
time, heave body on very short legs, he always wanted
to use his voice very very freely and had absolutely
no patience
what so ever, looked like a toy that came alive and we
loved him !!!!! Of course there would come a second Petit...that
was only a matter of time.....after all these dogs were
pack dogs we were told, so you had to have more than
one....:)))))))
A
little female was born in the same kennel my male was
from; her name “Queldring’s Inouie Indy” ……orange/white
colour…….and she also moved to come live with
us.
“
Indy” started my breeding for the Petit under the
kennel name “Shamblewain’s”....the first
litter was born in 1995 en the (for now) last litter in
2004. And for me the colour orange/white would become my
favorite one.....
To
make a long story short….a lot happened since
then, I started showing the dogs, travelled everywhere
for and with the Petit, saw a lot of PBGV’s in France
at the breeder’s homes but also several times during
my attending the French Nationals, I have imported and
exported dogs, and yes I even judged in Sweden, had the
privilege to breed some champions, met a lot of people
and kept dear dear friends within the breed, and I did
more......but we will “talk” about that on
these pages of my website.

Under
the button “Review” you can
read some stories from time passed by and see some
pictures as well of course.
Once, I fell in love with this breed, now it is in my
heart for ever and I hope to pick up breeding again after
a long
break.....do not know when but if I do you will hear
and read about it throug these pages.....: ))))
We wish you lots of fun.
