you want to know who we are ?
Well, my name is Marion Quaedvlieg, I am 54 years young,
and married to Bert, who is 56 years. We both have always
been surrounded by animals, not only dogs.
Bert’s interests in animals has always been very widely,
anything between an ant and an elephant : )))))
At the moment Bert is my wonderful photographer, so responsible
for all the pictures within this website, and even more he
is also the creator of the complete layout of this website
! I am very grateful for the wonderful job he did. He had
the opportunity to own a Basset Hound long before we ended
up in the French Bassets.
Me myself, I have had dogs as a young child already, two
Cocker Spaniels, participated in the local dogclub and finally
made it to teaching obedience in that same dogclub. Have
done the teaching for 18 years with a lot of fun and specialised
for puppies and their owners.
Worked in the Maastricht Academic Hospital, so my second
interest became health in dogs, especially the holistic side.
From there on it did not take long before I took a job in
a veterinarian clinic in the place where we live.
Since 1993 the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (a french hunting
breed ) took up all of my time because I seriously got involved
in breeding them. Some wonderful puppies have been born here
with us, I had the privilege to breed very nice looking champion
dogs, travelled around for the breed to several countries
and ended up with charished friendships, wich still last.
Highlights have been the trips to France, where I showed
my dogs, and even won “best female PBGV” with
my beloved “O’Nounou des Rives de la Garonne”...........I
will never forget.
Of course there was more, but you will learn more about us
through this website if you like to.
At the moment I am at home and still busy... taking care
of the coats of several dogs, I became a groomer but not
for all breeds. Specialised of course for the Griffon Vendeen.
Furthermore we both enjoy our dogs very very much and do
our very best to give them very happy lives.
We love to share our life with all kinds of animals, but
dogs have a special place in our hearts.
